professional language solutions

Wordorders is an Australian provider of translation services open to businesses, government departments, community organisations and individuals. I work with a number of recurring high-profile clients from around the world for whom I have consistently delivered documents in excellent quality.

I can professionally translate your documents in English, German or French and get your documents back to you in the quickest time possible without compromising on quality.

The best translation is the one that reads just like an original.

Of course, a translation has to come as close to the source document as possible in terms of tone, style and length. However, there is no such thing as a literal translation, and in order to be true to the original, a translator has to take linguistic liberties and literally create a new text in the target language.

I am a certified translator with years of experience as proofreader and writer, offering you accurate, elegant translations — fast and reliable.

And here is a selection of my services:

  • Personal and official documents (CVs, referrals, certificates, work references, police checks and other official records)
  • PR and marketing texts (press releases, websites, interviews, feature articles, editorials, reports and the like)
  • Semi-technical texts (such as feature presentations, manuals, catalogues)
  • Academic and non-fiction texts (dissertations, theses, abstracts, essays, case studies and so on)
  • Fiction (children’s books, short stories, novels, poems, dubbing, subtitles etc.)
  • Proven experience in architecture, art, food and restaurant industry, journalism, literature, marketing, medicine, psychiatry, real estate, technology and the travel industry (satisfied customers included!)

What’s wrong with this picture?

The eagle-eye of a professional proofreader is the only cure for terrible typos, blabbering blunders and grammatical no-go zones.

Sure, most word-processing softwares nowadays come with a spell checker and even hint at basic grammatical mistakes. But are you certain that they can always tell the difference between “their” and “there”, or “its” and “it’s”? More importantly, a good proofreader and copy editor will also make sure that your document is picture-perfect in terms of style, formatting, flow and accuracy. Because if you are serious about what you have to say, you cannot neglect how you say it!

As a seasoned in-house proofreader for a variety of magazines and newspapers, I will take care of your document in any way you choose. This can be a simple spell and name check before your ad goes to print or your letter goes out to your client. However, my services extend to proofreading academic papers, thoroughly editing manuscripts and even transcribing your records, minutes and conferences from tape to paper. Fast and reliable service is always guaranteed.

Every document is read twice; at least once in print. If you wish, I will make the necessary changes to your document (and mark them with track changes) or use standard proofreading marks on paper.

Frequently Asked Questions

I provide my clients with several options for translation, copywriting and proofreading services, including the level of quality checks.

There are budget options if you’re happy with a rough draft of a translation to get a general sense of what the original document is about or a simple read-through of a document to correct the most glaring errors.

In most cases, however, I would recommend a more rigorous approach in the interest of producing deliverables in the consistently high quality my clients have come to expect.

You can send me your documents in whatever format you have at your disposal – a PDF, Word or Excel file, a scan, or even a handwritten letter. As long as the text is readable and clear, I will be able to translate it for you.

For proofreading and copywriting services or if you have any specific requirements, please get in touch so we can discuss options and strategies to provide you with the best solution.

In any case, before anything happens, I will analyse your documents and requirements and provide you with a personalised quote.

Of course! I am aware that some things require urgent attention and will do my best to provide an expedited service for clients who are in a hurry.

Yes, I am NAATI certified for translations from German into English and have a diploma with merit from the renowned Chartered Institute of Linguists for translations from English into German. If you need NAATI certified translations from French into English or vice versa (or indeed any other language combination), I can still help you.

Just get in touch and discuss all your requirements so we can come up with a customised plan.

It depends. Some languages are more wordy and others are more economical in expressing the same concept.

A script in French, for example, can be up to 20% longer than in English. This is particularly important when there are time constraints, such as for voice-overs or other texts that will be read out loud or recorded.

But don’t worry, I will be able to advise and guide you on what to expect and what solutions can be applied so that your end product is still immaculate.

Most definitely. Wordorders has been working with a great number of multinational corporations, medium-sized enterprises and small local companies for over 13 years with an excellent track record in delivering premium translations for them.

With my direct relationships approach, you can be assured that no matter how large your company is, I will always strive to communicate with my clients on a personal level to obtain the best idea how to handle a particular project.
